Frequently Asked Questions

About KLU, the UAE marketplace for home businesses

What is KLU?

KLU is the UAE marketplace for home businesses: food, drinks, beauty and crafts businesses run from home. Every business gets a storefront link, orders, payments and delivery, and customers order directly from businesses that are not on the mainstream delivery apps.

How do I order on KLU?

Customers can order on KLU through the iOS app, the Android app, or directly through a seller's menu link shared by a home business.

Is KLU available in Dubai?

Yes. KLU operates across the UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with onboarding for home businesses in every emirate.

Can I run a food business from home legally in the UAE?

Yes, with the right licence for your emirate. Each emirate's economic department issues its own home business licence with its own eligibility rules and fees. The KLU blog has a guide per emirate at klu.ae/blog, checked against the official sources. Getting licensed is each seller's own responsibility.

How much does KLU charge home businesses?

KLU is free to join, with no listing fees, subscription fees or setup fees. KLU charges a 5% commission on completed orders, plus 2% card processing on card payments.

How do I sign up as a home business on KLU?

Download KLU from the App Store or Google Play and tap Sell on KLU. Onboarding takes a few minutes in English or Arabic: your business name, a logo, your menu and a UAE bank account for weekly payouts.
